🖍️ Greetings, fellow educators! I’m Sara — a teacher here in sunny and bright (except when it’s randomly monsooning) Florida, USA. I’m fueled by caffeine, humor (requirement for survival!), cat memes, and that one Expo marker that still works. (Seriously, why does only ONE marker in a brand-new pack function properly?)

I created Surviving Third because teachers deserve affordable resources that don’t make them go bankrupt (argh! I am getting close, I tell you!). You know those Fridays where a kid eats a glue stick, another tries to fistfight next to the monkey bars, and you’re 100% done? You have zero plans for Monday and you’re just like: “Ugh, I’ll just wing it and hope for the best. The children will survive.”

So, that’s why I’m here. I’ve spent way too much time creating resources for my own classroom over the years, so I figured—why not share them with my fellow exhausted, brilliant, running-on-coffee teachers? Which, by the way, is the only thing you should have to worry about.

When I’m not at school writing lesson plans, I’m probably at home… also writing lesson plans.

Because I’m a teacher. And teachers? Only have time to be teachers. …amiright!?

Haha. Okay, jokes aside for a sec…

I got my degree in education here in Florida and besides being a teacher, one of my biggest passions in life is writing. It is my hope one day to be a paid author and have one of my super rad Sci-Fi novels on a shelf in the Barnes & Noble. 😉 Until then…
